guatemala mission trip

Have you ever wanted to be a part of a mission team that reaches out to people in ways that would change their lives forever?  If the answer is “yes”, keep reading.

Over the past few years, FBC has provided financial support and sent several of its members to Guatemala to serve with Bethel Ministries International (bethelministriesinternational.com).  A primary focus of this ministry is “Mission Mobility” which provides wheelchairs to children and adults. The need is GREAT!  Imagine carrying your 12-year old child on your back because he can’t walk due to cerebral palsy.  This is common in Guatemala.  A wheelchair provides independence for parent and child.

In addition, each team builds 2-3 houses for families in need, participates in food and clothing distributions, and last year reading glasses were given out. As team members go into homes and provide for some of the basic needs, there is always opportunity to share the love of Christ, the most important aspect of this ministry.

If you would like to go, contact Tim Fortner (270-564-0236).
