Wednesdays at First Baptist consist of our Midweek programming for adults.  These programs include different 6 week Bible studies that are offered to meet the various needs of people in different stages of life.  Men's groups, women's groups, parenting groups, apologetics are just to name a few.  Each semester is broken down in to two different six week blocks.

On October 10, we will begin our second 6-week adult MidWeek session. That night we will also have our Fellowship Supper at 5:15 pm. After the meal, there will be several different studies available. Below is a description of each.

The Awesome Power of Encouragement (1 Thessalonians)

“The book of 1st Thessalonians is a Pauline Epistle (letter from Paul). The Apostle Paul wrote it about 52-54 A.D. and it was one of his earliest written letters. The key personalities in this book are the Apostle Paul, Timothy, and Silas. Paul wrote this letter to strengthen and encourage the church in Thessalonica. To encourage and hearten the believers, Paul chose to emphasize the second coming of Jesus Christ. Throughout this letter, Paul focused on the principles of faith, hope, and love.”

This study will be led by Keith Inman.

Ready to Launch

“Christian parents are not seeking mere behavior modification in their children but the growth of truly godly passions. ‘Training a child up in the way he should go’ must be done intentionally, with the mind and heart of God.”

“Based on Psalm 127, this 7-session study plumbs the wisdom of the Bible about the goals of parenting, the stages of discipline, the role of the church, and strategies to shape the heart toward the gospel.”

This study will be led by Jeremy Hudgin and is most applicable to parents with kids under the age of 18.

Prayer Meeting

Come join us for a time of silent and corporate prayer. We will pray for the many needs of the saints, the various ministries of FBC, our missionaries, revival and another great awakening in our country.

This will be a great opportunity to fellowship with other church members and share each other’s burdens.

This meeting will be led by Boyd Smith.

Kingdom Disciples

“There is a missing force in Christianity today. Its absence has led to weak believers, disintegrating families, ineffective churches, and a decaying culture. Without it we lack what we need to fully live as heaven’s representatives on earth.”

“That missing force is discipleship. The result is powerless Christians attending powerless churches, having a powerless presence in the world. The power, authority, abundance, victory, and impact God has promised will come about only when we understand and align ourselves with His definition of discipleship.”

This study will be led by David and Cindy Gibson.
